The Saramek Trust selects children that have both a strong academic record at primary school and are from a poor family that wouldn’t otherwise be able to send them to secondary school. With this criteria in mind, a shortlist of candidates is submitted to the Trust every year from its contacts within Kenya, from which the final scholars are then selected.
