Susan did very well at Saramek Primary and was put forward by Alice Segei, who was headmistress of the school when Susan was there. She has a single mother who was sadly suffering from HIV and Alice advised that Susan needed urgent assistance.

Under the Trust’s sponsorship, Susan started boarding at Sacred Hills Secondary in 2017 and seems to be making the most of the opportunity. Her grades have been very good and she is on track to get a good enough grade to get a government scholarship to University where she hopes to study engineering. She’s also goalkeeper for the school’s very successful football team. Her favourite player is apparently David De Gea!

Will saw her at Sacred Hills in June 2019 where she was incredibly friendly and appreciative of all the support she was been given. Her family circumstances continue to be tough, but she continues to progress admirably in spite of this.

Despite the pandemic disrupting her studies, she managed to secure a place at Maseno University in 2021 to study Accounting and Finance. When she completes her Bachelors, she hopes to use her degree to work in Financial Analysis as well as one day starting her own company.

Her hobbies include watching financial management clips and playing football.
