Will Tudor-Evans
Director and Co-Founder
Will’s enthusiasm has contributed to the success of the Trust and he has been instrumental in setting up the website. He is popular with the students on his visits with Shirley every other year, especially when football comes into the conversation!
Ollie Webb Fundraiser and Co-founder
Ollie is now married and living in Belgium. He remains very supportive of the Trust
Shirley Tudor-Evans Director
Thanks to emails and whatsapps, Will’s mother Shirley keeps in regular touch with the older students and also with the rest of The Team in Kenya. She also arranges payments of fees and through Roger, the necessary pocket money and general expenses.
Roger Hollingworth Scholar Manager and Scout
Roger’s help and advice is invaluable to the Trust. He lives and teaches out in Kenya for part of the year and is in regular in touch with Stanley Mutai and Alice Sigei, as well as Shirley, helping with the selection of the students and monitoring their progress.
Stanley Mutai Scholar Manager and Scout
Stanley is Headmaster of a Primary School near Kericho and seems to know everyone, including the new headmistress of Saramek Primary so is a very useful contact! He has good rapport with the students and the Trust are very grateful to him.
Sarah Njmabi Scholar Guardian
Sarah became Headmistress of Saramek Primary after Will and Ollie left but was driven out of the area with her children after the troubles that followed the elections in December 2007. She is guardian to Moses and to her nephews Jeremiah and Simon who are all orphans and went with her to nearer Nairobi. Will saw her briefly in Nairobi in June 2019. She has taken care of yet another orphan.
Alice Sigei Headmistress of Saramek Primary
Alice retired as Headmistress of Saramek Primary but continues to be been hugely supportive and helpful. Luckily for the Trust she offered to continue to help and advise us which has been invaluable with students starting their university careers as well as keeping a watchful eye on those at secondary. We are hugely grateful to her. Alice and Shirley are in frequent touch by whatsapp – not only about the students but their own families too – they have a grandchild of the same age!
