We have taken on two more children in 2021 and shall be keeping to the original plan of sponsoring bright children from the Kericho area who otherwise might not have the opportunity of a good further education.
We are now under the umbrella of the LCVS, the Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services, which means we are able to claim Gift Aid on most donations. You can donate via the Liverpool Charity Service by following this link.
Alternatively you can download a gift aid form from here and send us the donation directly:

Please also note that nearly 100% of donations go towards the children’s education. The Trust has minimal overheads, currently less than 2.5%.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to make a donation to The Saramek Trust, please get in touch with us at thesaramektrust@gmail.com. Just send a quick email introducing yourself and we will happily get back to you with more information!
It currently costs a minimum of £450 a year to put a child through a good secondary boarding school (4 years) and in most cases we also help with extras including uniform and set and revision books, depending on what is provided by the school and how much we think the family/relations/friends can help. We have useful advice on this from Roger Hollingworth, Alice Sigei and Stanley Mutai.
At the end of their 4 years of secondary school, should our scholars achieve a high enough grade to gain government sponsorship to University, we will help with their board and lodging and some pocket money (since the government only covers tuition fees) This amounts to much the same as a year at boarding school.
We have managed to get secondhand laptops out to our university students from the UK.
Currently two of our students are generously sponsored wholly by individuals. We appreciate their support enormously.
