Denis was recommended to us by Alice Segei, a close friend of the Trust and the previous headmistress of Saramek Primary School. He had a very unfortunate background with this father being sent to jail and his mother unable to support him through secondary school. He was also the top student at his primary school, so the Trust considered him a very worthy candidate.
At the beginning of 2017 he started at the prestigious Kericho High School where he seems to have settled in well. Will visited him in the summer of 2019, where he spoke of his dream to go to University and study computer science. He has a confident personality and was very happy to pose for photos!
Kevin achieved high enough marks in his final exams to secure a place at The Technical University of Kenya in Nairobi, and in September 2021 began a Bachelors there in Technology and Computer Networks. He’s very interested in cyber security, particularly how it can be used to protect against online bullying and data phishing. One day he also hopes to study abroad.
In his spare time he enjoys producing music, reading novels and travelling.
