Mercy began at the Sacred Hills School at Londiani at the beginning of 2015, after doing very well at Saramek Primary school and was put forward as a very worthy candidate by Stanley Mutai, a close friend of the Trust.
She had not dropped below a B in her six terms at secondary and when Will and Shirley visited her in May 2016 they encouraged her to keep it up! At the end of 2019 she started at South Eastern Kenya University doing a course leading to Bachelor of Education (Arts). Will enjoyed meeting up with her in Kericho in June 2019 where she seemed very excited about going to University and continuing to play handball!
The pandemic hampered her studies somewhat but she is due to complete her second year on July 16th 2022. She is enjoying her Bachelor studies in Education Science at South Eastern University (as well playing for the University handball team) and is hoping to do a Masters upon completing her Bachelors.
