Edna Chepchirchir is an orphan whose guardian could not afford to pay for her school fees. Thanks to local well-wishers she was initially able to attend a day school which was a 7km walk from home.
She was put forward for the Trust’s support as it was felt she would significantly benefit from a better school. She finished her final year at Sacred Hill Girls High School at Londiani, a boarding school, in 2015 and although initially didn’t get high enough grades to get a government sponsored place at university, in September 2017 she started a diploma at the Kaiboi Technical Training Institute and has been sponsored by a local charity called Live with Hope who help orphans. Will and Shirley much enjoyed meeting her in July 2014 and again in May 2016 and agreed to pay for her to do a short computer course. She has a lovely character with a good command of English.
